In Mixtec, the name "Kava Ndivi" is translated to "cliff of the turtledove". A very exciting recent discover from western Oaxaca where it grows in a relatively unexplored pocket of Mexican desert. The species bears some resemblance to A. striata and stricta, but is notable for its wider leaves.
