The idea for this project came while walking the dog and happening on a lonely old Plumeria on a neglected lot surrounded by overgrown dry grasses, like an urban savannah in miniature. This encounter became the template for the rooftop gardens at 9735 Washington. Flowing xeric grasses with Euphorbias, Brachychiton trees, and the most lovely 50 year old gnarled Plumeria.
