Fockea crispa differs from F. edulis in its crinkled "crisped" leaves. This plant has been very easy in cultivation and it's said that a specimen collected for the Austrian Emperor Joseph II in 1794 is still in cultivation at the Schönbrunn Palace Gardens in Austria (pictured in the second photo).
