Hechtia are, in our opinion, one of the most underrated genera of plants out there. They are both graceful and dangerous, and come from the some of the most botanically interesting regions of Mexico associated with very popular flora. This plant is propagated from material originally collected by Dutch Vandervoort, and was allegedly one of his favorite species. Rarely available in cultivation. Most of these recently described Hechtia species are only grown by a few botanic gardens and some specialists but are bulletproof and can handle extreme conditions.
