One of the most curious caudiciforms of Mexico, Matelea cyclophylla grows a spongey above-ground caudex with deep fissures slightly resembling Dioscorea elephantipes. Like many other members of asclepiadaceae, it produces carrion flowers with a foul smell that attracts fly pollinators. You may receive the same plant or one similar to the plant shown.
