The bumpy tubercles of Othonna herrei are formed from the bases of the leaves that dry when this plant enters its summer dormancy. A rare plant in the Richtersveld region of South Africa. Water sparingly through the winter and you will be delighted with its tiny yellow flowers.
Water: Water regularly in the winter growing season. October - April.
Sun Exposure: Full sun. Southern Facing windows, or outside unobstructed.
Soil: 60% pumice/40% regular potting mix or Stone Eaters Soil
Temperature: Cold Hardy to 32° F.
Fertilize: During the October - April growing season, with Super Kabuto Fertilizer.
