Pelargonium violiflorum is one of our favorite members of Pelargonium section Hoarea, which contains dozens of geophytic, mostly winter-growing species. This plant comes from the winter rainfall area and is notable for its polymorphic foliage, meaning that the leaves change shapes with maturity. With age, the caudex can be displayed above ground.
