9735 Washington Blvd.:
The inspiration for this project came while walking the dog and happening on a lonely old Plumeria on a neglected lot surrounded by overgrown dry grasses, like an urban savanna in miniature. This encounter became the template for the rooftop gardens of the four story building at 9735 Washington Blvd in Culver City, CA. The garden is full of flowing xeric grasses with Euphorbias, Brachychiton trees, and the most lovely 50-year old gnarled Plumeria. We worked with a fantastic team to make this vision come true including Abramson Architects, Morley Builders, and BrightView Landscape.
