Superbloom 2023 💚 Theodore Payne Foundation (Green):

Thanks to an uncharacteristically prolonged (and much-needed) rainy season, the So-Cal floral explosion of 2023 has been downright hundred-proof! Pedals to the metal! All while happening to coincide with the fortieth anniversary of the WILDFLOWER HOTLINE.

Each week, from March through May, the smooth ASMR cadence of Emmy award-winning actor Joe Spano shares with callers which trails have the most impressive blooms and all sorts of other important updates on the wildlands of SoCal. The Hotline is headed up by our friends at the Theodore Payne Foundation, a nonprofit nursery and educational center on the outskirts of LA that focuses on native plants and on building a future where ecological systems integrate with the sprawling metropolis of our sun-drenched city.
