Uebelmannia pectinifera grows in the ecological niche of Minas Gerais, Brazil, a botanically rich but poorly understood desert region currently under threat due to growing agricultural practices. Uebelmannia pectinifera has captivated collectors with its purple-tinged epidermis and thick shields of feathery spines. Needs mostly morning sun, protected from the harsh rays of the afternoon or it may get scarred.


Water: Water regularly in the spring/summer growing season.

Sun Exposure: Part shade. Southern or bright western facing windows.
